New Ways to Train in 2026!!!
As a trainer, I am always striving to find new ways to meet the needs of my clients and the community, starting spring of 2026 I began to launch a variety of new training services and educational options, in different outdoor and indoor locations in the Brunswick and surrounding area. My goal? To offer an array of fun, flexible options for clients that allow them many different ways to access dog training and education in the format that works the best for them!
I started slow, with a few fun “pop-ups” and some small classes taking place in the real world focusing on building skills in new environments and most importantly, getting out of the training room and into real life! The response from clients made it clear immediately that I was meeting a BIG need people had. Outside of the classroom training. Flexible timing. Less time commitment that works with their schedules. More choices of topics.
Now? I am continuing to launch new options every day, and have some really big, really fun things planned for the future. Explore below to see and learn more!
So, what’s available??
Pop-Ups
Pop-Ups are single, 1hr sessions with a focused topic held in a variety of different locations primarily in the Midcoast area but also the greater Portland area. They are a great FLEXIBLE way to get out and train and learn about specific topics that interest you without the commitment of a weekly class.
Pop-ups can take place in outdoor or indoor locations, some occur in public spaces such as parks, trails or dog friendly stores, and others take place at privately owned properties.
Some pop-ups are scheduled in advance, but they are often spontaneous, “popping up” at any point during the week! Scheduled pop-ups can be found below, but to stay up to date and catch all the pop-ups make sure to join the email and/or Facebook group.

These pop-ups are all about important basics such as: focus and attention, basic behaviors like settling, and handling distractions in the environment. We call it “Newbie Night” because it’s a great starter session, but anyone who wants a review of the basics will love these pop-ups!
Mini-Classes
Looking for a little more consistency, but can’t commit to a class that drags on for weeks? Mini-classes are 3-4 week classes that focus on a particular subject or skillset (such as Leave it, Loose Leash Walking, or Polite Greetings with People) and help you to progress your skill set with targeted exercises for your dog. Like pop-ups, mini-classes can be indoors, outdoors, in real life environments or more traditional training places.
Workshops
Lots of fun and learning packed into single day! Workshops are typically 3-4 hours long, allowing for an intensive deep dive! With a mix of discussion, demonstration, and hands-on work with your own dog you will walk away from a workshop with a whole new skill set or interest! All workshops will offer both “working spots” (owner and dog actively participating) and “audit spots” (owner attending without dog) and can be a great option for those with a reactive or distracting pup who still want to attend and learn, or those who would just prefer to learn by watching others.
Seminars
Call the NERD police, because seminars are for the training and behavior NERDS. Human only events, seminars are 1-2 hour presentations delivered in a lecture/presentation style, with some fun hands on surprises mixed in at times. With topics such as Understanding Canine Body Language 101 and 102, Dog Directed Reactivity, and Canine Sociability, Case Studies and Navigating Behavior Challenges these seminars will appeal to the dog loving nerd in all of you!
Round Tables
Talk about nerding out. Round tables are human only, very casual events. We meet for an hour, to discuss a specific topic. The first half of the hour is lecture style, followed by 30 minutes of discussion and Q&A.
Every single update, every pop-up, class, workshop and seminar is posted and shared directly to the Problem Solved email list and Facebook Students GROUP. I recommend you join the group and/or the email list to get the fastest information, and the first chance at grabbing a spot!
Much of the information is also shared on the Problem Solved Facebook page, but not all of it, and not as fast. Like & Follow the Facebook page, but make sure you join the group or the email list for the most up to date training options
